West 17th Street Guest Bath

In a rental apartment, it’s hard to find the right balance between “home” and “in flux”. If your landlord will let you paint walls “as long as you paint them white before you leave” then DO IT! This bathroom just needed a few simple fixes to make it warm and cozy. The strange wood medicine cabinet stood out like a sore thumb. And the maroon and white tile didn’t help! I chose a wall color that was very close to the wood finish of the cabinet, then added colorful accessories that included all colors and then some.
