Krista Watterworth Alterman is a nationally recognized interior designer, speaker, and luxury lifestyle expert known for redefining what it means to build a modern design brand. After launching her career as an HGTV host, Krista made a bold pivot into the world of high-end residential design-quickly establishing herself as a leader in luxury interiors long before “coastal luxury” became a movement.

Over the past two decades, she has built one of the most successful and scalable design teams in the country, working with an elite roster of clients across sports, entertainment, and business. Her portfolio includes homes for high-profile figures such as MLB legend Max Scherzer, Super Bowl Champion Leonard Williams, and families behind iconic brands and legacy institutions-including Bush Brothers & Company, the Pittsburgh Steelers organization, and ownership connected to the Indiana Pacers, as well as numerous NFL and NHL athletes.

Krista’s forward-thinking approach - blending refined design, operational systems, and brand-building - set her apart early in her career. While her methods challenged traditional industry norms, they ultimately positioned her as a pioneer, influencing a new generation of designers to think beyond aesthetics and build businesses with intention, scale, and authenticity.

Today, as the luxury interior design division of Vesta, Krista + Home operates at the intersection of architecture, interiors, and brand-level storytelling. Krista leads large-scale residential and development projects with a holistic, full-scope approach defined by cohesion, longevity, and visual clarity, often brought to life through cinematic 3D design narratives.
