Everyone loves a success story, right? Krista + Home was once a boot strap start-up with two employees: Krista and her husband Eric. Their dream was to create homes that not only look like they’re jumping off a magazine page, but that are also livable, comforting and highly functional. The kernel of that idea turned into a movement, and The New Palm Beach became the signature K+H style. All of our projects include a feeling -- a vacationing spirit, a respect for the modern and the historic, and a livable yet luxurious energy. As we grew into a highly sought after firm, we searched across South Florida for the most talented players, a team who all believe that great service is a calling. What we offer today is a full service firm that creates personally curated and branded experiences for each and every client.
Krista Watterworth Alterman, ASID, IIDA, IDS
Creative Director & Founder
Krista is Connecticut born, New York trained and happily adopted by Palm Beach County. Her modern, clean and surprisingly classic aesthetic has earned her a reputation as Palm Beach County’s go-to interior designer. She also curates her own lifestyle blog Design Palm Beach.
Krista received her Master of Fine Arts from the prestigious New School in Manhattan, and furthered her studies at Parsons School of Interior Design, one of the top design schools in the country. The New York Daily News called Krista “a designer who gives a room soul.”
A television personality, Krista is known for her highly acclaimed HGTV shows Save My Bath and Splurge & Save. She's also been featured on The Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible and DIY's The Vanilla Ice Project for nine seasons.
Krista was one of the selected designers for the prestigious Kips Bay Show House in 2019. She won two 2018 American Society of Interior Designers Crystal Awards, a 2018 LUXE Residential Excellence Award and three 2017 American Society of Interior Designers Design Excellence Awards.
Her work is regularly featured in many publications including Architectural Digest, Decor, Luxe Interiors & Design, Florida Design, Good Housekeeping, HGTV Magazine, Southern Style At Home and Cottages & Bungalows.
After living in Manhattan for ten years, Krista, her husband Eric (a serial entrepreneur and technologist) and their two children (Griffon and Skylar) escaped the madness for paradise. Krista is a serious food lover, secret chocoholic, and avid Poker player. Meet Krista Watterworth Alterman.
Chief Operating Officer
A senior level executive with demonstrated expertise in operating and growing service businesses, Fran has had over 25 years of success in refocusing organizations, motivating teams and driving change. Fran has extensive corporate and entrepreneurial experience, having worked in Fortune 500 companies, emerging middle market companies and start-ups.
Did we mention she's a graduate of The Wharton School of Business and Stanford? Talk about a GirlBoss!
Fran left Manhattan over 15 years ago and loves living in Jupiter with her husband Jon, their son Graham and their dog Oatie. Fran loves to go to the beach, but doesn't get there enough and will happily debate the best place to get a good slice and a good bagel in the area.
Interior Design Director
Pam has been involved in residential design in South Florida for over 18 years. Her experience began at sixteen in a hometown furniture store in Strongsville, Ohio. By the time she was eighteen, she was designing and furnishing her clients’ homes. After earning her degree in business administration, Pam moved to Manhattan where she worked as a wholesale trade representative.
Pam’s invaluable experience in the design industry is an asset to the Studio. She lives in Jupiter, Florida with her husband Ken, their three daughters (Sophie, Olivia, and Ella) and their dog Rocco. Pam's secret obsession is watching tennis and riding roller coasters. She loves baking with her five sisters and talented mom (a local celebrity baker in Ohio).
Interior Design Coordinator
Sarah is the Studio's all-around resident problem solver! She hails from Michigan, but has lived in Palm Beach County for two years. A graduate of Saginaw Valley State University she's a die hard Cardinals fan. Sarah studied Arts & Behavioral Science and Computer Applications, needless to say she's our resident therapist and IT expert. When she's not working, Sarah loves the beach, Hard Exercise Works, and her dog Ted. (She's also a self proclaimed closet foodie).
Design Assistant, Build Service
Lucie was born and raised in the south of France. She comes from a family of architects, so says design “runs in her veins”. After studying interior design at Les Beaux Arts in France, she completed her studies here with a degree in Interior Design from Palm Beach State College where she is proud to have been named to the prestigious President’s List. When she is not working, you will find Lucie enjoying a glass of wine with friends or walking on the beach with her dog, Jazz.
Director of Marketing
Jenn manages all of the Social Media, Marketing Communications, Public Relations and Advertising for the Studio. Jenn graduated from the prestigious New York University with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. She has worked for ad agencies in NYC and Chicago on a variety of brands in a variety of industries, but Krista is definitely her favorite so far...(shhhh!). In Jenn's spare time she is super mom to her three children, attends the monthly Abacoa Food Truck Invasion, and is known for lunching at the Studio where Krista holds her captive for hours of creative brainstorming.
HATTIE ROSE REEDY
Design Assistant, Furniture Service
Kristy joins the team as a design assistant eager to chase her dreams and prove that it’s never too late to follow your passion. Remodeling personal properties has always been a mild obsession for Kristy from her first home in Annapolis to the place she currently calls home here in Florida. She’s using her interior design education and love for beautiful spaces to support the team in all aspects of curating elegant and functional living spaces. She is married and plays an active role as a “bonus mom” to her husbands three boys, Zack, Ryan and Tyler. She says there is never a dull moment, or a full refrigerator! She cherishes spare time spent with family, friends, and her two Himalayans, Meatball and Cosmopolitan.
Design Assistant, Build Service
Hattie is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Interior Design. She recently moved back to the Palm Beach area after living in Atlanta. Hattie comes from a close family and is no stranger to the home business, as her father owns a construction company. When she is not working, she loves to bake and is a huge animal lover! Hattie likes to stay active and enjoys boating with her family’s golden retriever, Reggie.
