Our Vow Renewal: Blush + Gold
Ten years, two kids, one hell of a party! My hubby and I decided to renew our vows. After ten years of marriage and weathering one storm after another, we both felt compelled to include our babies in this very special celebration. I want a boho-chic style weekend, with a little glitter on the side:) These sequin table clothes are fab and I recently used them in my VIP Tent at a fundraiser for Palm Beach Historical Society.
Flowers will be natural and vibrant. I love peonies and my husband calls me his “Sweet Pea” so there will be some of those. In my wedding bouquet I had rosemary because I love fresh herbs, and also I’m a thespian at heart. In Hamlet, Ophelia says rosemary is for remembrance, “pray, love, remember”. And lavender is my most favorite scent of all. So let’s have some of that too! (This arrangement includes Juliette David Austin Garden roses surrounded by Dusty Miller, feathery dark Agonis leaves, Celosia Specata, Black Scabbiossa blossoms with their pods, Astilbe, Fuschias and Seeded Eucalyptus with foliage.)
Our wedding champagne was Laurent Perrier Rose, so it works perfectly with the theme. Add a little glitter sugar and we’re all good.
Instead of a sit down dinner we are doing a living room style lounge with great music and dinner-by-the-bite. The ceremony itself will be an intimate one on the beach with our family only.
My Pinterest board is blowin’ up! Check it out, it’s called “We Still Do”. These are some of my biggest inspiration images – elements that are homey to me and my hubby, they feel warm, sexy and inviting. No traditional cake, just some fun treats like glitter donuts!
