Quick and Chic Cocktail Party Ideas

Party season is right around the corner, and my husband and I couldn’t be happier. We love entertaining, and I thought it would be fun to share a few of our go-to solutions for snack ideas when friends stop by for a glass of vino.

Use pretty trays, and bowls and think of the tray as a palette.  You can add fresh herbs, olive oil or honey and a big hunk of a good cheese.  Some fruit is also a good addition, like the figs in this photo.   A big loaf of crusty, earthy bread is great with the cheese and olive oils.  No need to slice the bread, just leave it in it’s pure form and let your guests rip of a piece at their leisure.

A favorite recipe: Prosciutto, Fig and Parmesan Rolls… But just putting out some truffle olive oil, sea salt, sliced fresh figs and chunky parm is a great nibble. Don’t forget the crusty bread!

I also think its great to put out chocolate and fruit for an afternoon or after dinner snack.  Keep some good belgian chocolate on hand in your pantry and slice up an orange or two.  Display on a wood tray with a few springs of basil or mint.

Favorite recipes: Orange Chocolate Tart

Some of my favorite entertainment accessories and lots of fun items to create your beautiful display! Think marble, rustic woods and some other natural elements like slate and galvanized metal for a fresh, urban-farm look.
