What It’s Like To Work With An Interior Designer
I thought it would be fun to share a little of our process of working with clients. Many people do not really understand everything that happens when you work with an interior design firm. Here are some common questions and solutions so you can see what happens behind the scenes at Krista + Home.
Why do I need a designer when I can buy furniture myself?
Your home should look amazing and be a reflection of your personality and style, and function in a way that works with how you live your life. It might sound impossible, and that’s because incredible interior design does not happen by chance. Great spaces are carefully explored, planned, and curated by professionals. A home renovation is a big life event, and our team carefully manages the entire process to ensure that everything goes smoothly. Many of our clients love that all of the furniture is stored in our facility and delivered to your home at the same time, so you get a big “reveal” on install day.
What is the designer’s role?
Our dedicated team at Krista + Home will handle all of the design related elements of your project. These elements include color palette, selection of furnishings, drapery, flooring, surfaces, counters, tile, accessories, artwork, wall treatments, lighting and cabinetry.
Renovation or New Build
We do both. Krista + Home works closely with architects and builders to develop your personalized plan. From cabinet pulls to moving walls, we consult on build-related design selections with your architect and contractor.
Purchasing
The Krista + Home team will purchase and manage all aspects of shipping and delivery of all merchandise on your behalf.
