How to Add Gold Accents to Your Home

Gold is in, let’s face it. There’s no pretending it’s not anymore. It’s back, and it’s here to stay (for the moment) both in fashion and home design. I mix metals throughout a home because I think that makes a space feel alive and less designed. I even mix metals in my jewelry (mostly because I’m in a rush to get out the door in the morning!) I even changed my logo adding gold and silver elements. Bling, bling!

Touches of gold throughout are a fun accent to any style space. In this master bedroom I pair gold bowls with silver mirror frames. So you don’t have to get rid of your silver, chrome or antique bronze accessories – just add a touch of gold among them.

This tablescape shows a mix of nickel, chrome and gold. All objects belonged to the homeowner, I like to showcase their personal items in a new, fresh way. You can see the legs on the table are black iron, so it’s really about balance.
