Coastal Chic

I feel so lucky to live in a coastal town. Palm Beach County is the land of waterfront properties, dining al fresco, tropical foliage and cocktails by the pool. Many of my clients live on or near the beach, and they want their homes to have a coastal feel.

Coastal, as a design style, has definitely changed. Gone are the days of salmon or mint green walls, seashells everywhere and nautical prints.  It is possible to have a coastal home that is chic, but not overly decorated with obvious references to the beach.

To me, coastal means fresh and clean. White and bright. Light and Airy. Think grays, whites and surprising pops of aqua.   The coastal homes I design are clean and modern.
