How To Add Greenery To Your Space

Adding plants to a space can enhance your decor and enliven a room. I just bought myself a fiddle fig tree today for my house. Plus a nice lush fern for a vintage plant stand I got for a steal. And some peace lilies for my entry (no direct light). Some of my favorite plants are cactus and succulents, but they need lots of light and are really only meant for outdoors or a very bright window.

Chinese evergreen or English ivy re-planted in vintage urns are on the side tables in this picture. These are some of the best air filtering plants you can buy. Plus they are lush and pretty.

I also love large jars with greens that I cut from my yard. They look natural and sculptural – plus they’re free!

 

Topiaries are super rad but high maintenance. They need to be trimmed regularly to keep their shape. I opt for the rounded ball-like shapes because I love anything circular. It feels organic.

 

Add as much green as you can to your home. It makes you feel more connected to the earth and nature. Stay tuned for my new post on planting a garden with your kids.
